The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it can be alarmed concerning the higher quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some large variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office dedicated to service the area regularly. The assistance level produced for intervention experiences a significant influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to SRD all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to enable the servicing of all shoppers and boost usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
